Press Announcement Invitation (June 26, 2018 12PM)
at 3350 Scott Blvd., Building 54, Santa Clara, CA 95054
- The Founding of the International Performing Arts of America (IPAA)
- the Inception of the International Performing Arts Festival to commemorate the life and legacy of late Ann Woo
Ann Woo, Bay Area’s well-known art promoter, inexplicably passed away last year; she adored arts and devoted her life to promoting the merging of multi-cultural arts in the U.S. Since her passing, a group of caring, visionary artists, friends and Ann’s surviving spouse John Chu have incorporated the International Performing Arts of America (IPAA), to carry on Ann Woo’s decades-long vision: to provide artists with the best supports to allow full expression of their talents; to work with other organizations to merge various ethnic cultures into the main stream; to unite all to selflessly work together towards a common goal.
The performance will mark the new IPAA’s World Premiere Performance on the one-year anniversary of Ann’s passing, Sunday, August 26, 2018, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the California Theatre, San Jose, CA. In addition to commemorating Ann Woo, the event provides an annual intermingling platform to various ethnic artists.
Over 30 professional dancers and various artists are contributing their time to produce this event under the direction of IPAA Artistic Director, Yang Yang. IPAA’s enthusiastic volunteers have started the preparation work and fund raising efforts leading to the performance.
We sincerely invite press, all art lovers, culture supporters and friends of Ann Woo to help in the realization of such a beautiful vision.
At the press release to be held on June 26, 2018, Tuesday, at 12 Noon, John Chu, Dennis Nahat, Yang Yang and Andy Jian, will explain the structure and mission of IPAA, at the same time formally initiate the International Performing Arts Festival.
